As an alternative to a completely timber balustrade, why not
mix and match the designs of stylish black sandgrain finished metal
balusters and team them with a choice of beautiful timber newels
and handrails.
The balusters are very easy and quick to install with just 2
fixings required, 1 for the landing and 1 for the staircase. Most
importantly the finishing of the timber components is so much
easier, no spindles to finish or awkward gaps to get into.
There are 6 metal baluster designs, all 850mm long and
manufactured from 12.5mm mild steel bar.

The balusters fix to ungrooved pine or beech handrails and
baserails, which can be stained or finished prior to fixing the
balusters.
Should the lengths of balusters need adjusting to fit between
the rails, they can be cut easily using a normal hacksaw, and the
accuracy or cleanness of the cut is less important as the bracket
hides the end of the baluster. A further advantage is that metal
balusters can be used with either 82mm or 90mm straight handrail or bracket fix systems.
